We can’t wait to see you all at our impending Reunion.
Here’s some more info about Seth Frankel’s Celebration of Life, scheduled for Thursday morning, June 7.
Date/Time: Thursday morning, June 7 at 6am sharp. We plan on starting on time to enjoy the sunrise during the Celebration.
Location: On the beach at Waialae Beach Park in Kahala.
Parking: Parking is easy but a couple of blocks away once the lot fills up, so plan on arriving early. Once the lot is full, you’ll want to park on Aukai Ave off of Kealaolu Ave or Pueo St. Plan on a 10 minute walk to the beach from there. We believe there are “No Parking” signs on Kahala Ave and Kealaolu Ave, so Aukai will be your best bet. http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tab=wl
WORDS—If you have a memory of Seth that you’d like to share, you’ll have the opportunity to do so.
MUSIC—We’ll be singing two songs and hope everyone will sing along. We’ve attached the lyrics and guitar/ukulele chords to this FB post for those who want to see them in advance. Otherwise, we’ll have copies of the lyrics for you at the event. The songs are:
-Three Little Birds (Bob Marley): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CY6A5arNCQQ
-Soulshine (Allman Brothers): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVcY6o6KcUw (we’re playing it a ½ step down from the version in this video)
We will not be going in the water, so no need to bring your swimsuits and surfboards.
This should be a relatively short but meaningful celebration and remembrance of our buddy Seth.
Feel free to forward this message to whomever you feel may be interested in attending, as it is our intention to open this up to all of Seth’s many friends.
Again, we look forward to seeing you all in June.
Bob, Greg, Keith & Ron
Three Little Birds – Bob Marley
Soulshine – Allman Brothers – half-step down – no solos – no bridge
